Statement of Legitimacy

A vital part of legitimacy is to continuously work to develop and improve accountability. Cashmir works very hard towards achieving this. Charities in Kashmir are sometimes challenged about their legitimacy, as many have not honoured the very issues they speak out about, this creates doubt in the public eye. Cashmir remains transparent for the benefit of the public and works continuously with the office of the Scottish charity regulator to honour our projects officially by working with the host governments.

Cashmir also continues to create an effective standard of trust with HMRC Her Majesties Customs and Revenues in the United Kingdom. This mutual cooperation returns 25% of the UK Tax payer per pound in the form of Gift Aid, this ensures that our donations generate the greatest return for the poverty stricken of Kashmir. Cashmir endorses policies of the Scottish Government and its ministers to achieve the best method of delivery of funds to the Kashmiri Folk.

Our development and humanitarian work is respected by the local governments, our partner organisations, allies.
